WEEE or FURNITURE eco-participation are fees added to the purchase price of an electronic device or furniture, which is then donated to an organization responsible for the management and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) or recovery of user furniture.

This amount is not subject to any profit.

This practice has been implemented in France and Europe, and the amount of the eco-contribution varies depending on the product purchased.

Each distributor or manufacturer is affiliated with an eco-organization and applies the corresponding eco-participation rate.

The objective of this practice is to finance and improve the collection, decontamination and recycling of old products.
